After a long day of hiking around Turkey Run State Park, Pete and I were both tired, hungry, and cold. We stopped at McDonalds, bough some food, and sat outside, eating and soaking up the late afternoon sun. As we ate a strange little high school drama unfolded before our eyes.

With horns honking and tires squealing, a car raced into the McDonald's parking lot and skidded to a stop. Two high school age boys, although I don't begin to presume that they were actually students, jumped from the back seat. As the boys walked into McDonalds, the young female driver screamed after them, "Jared, give me my money." The young delinquents (gentlemen just seemed like such an inappropriate word) calmly ignored her an walked into McDonalds. The driver haphazardly parked the car and sent the female passenger into McDonalds in search of the boys. As the passenger passed by Pete and Me, I gleaned the following information: The two guys are friends, the driver of the car is Jared's girlfriend, the passenger is the girlfriends sister, Jared owes the girlfriend money. Jared and his friend were able to evade the sister and minutes later they were walking down the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street. The girlfriend chased them down in her car, stopped along side them, blocking one lane of traffic in the process, and proceeded to get out of the car and scream at Jared. Eventually she got back in her car and left while Jared and his friend walked out of view.
